People kept asking me “How did you do it? What’s your secret?”

Hmmmm….I don’t have a secret. I just use dividends.

If you want my dividends + savings tips, subscribe to Wealthy Women Weekly and learn how to invest in your dream life. You can also join our Free Facebook Wealthy Women Daily Net Worth Challenge.

As a Certified Public Accountant, I learned about dividends early in my career.

If you have no idea how to earn an extra stream of income from dividends, here are some resources for you:

You can think of dividends as the income that companies pay you for investing in them. You can get income every month or quarter. It all depends on the company you invest in.

As long as the company declares dividends, you get a deposit in your account.

How did I start intentionally building a dividend portfolio that allowed me to travel?

Well, they always say that the truth will set us free!

When I started analyzing my expenses, I realized that I give up a lot of money to big corporations.

What the heck were they giving me for my loyalty and for telling the world about their product?

NOTHING.

So I started investing in dividend-paying assets so that I can get a recurring stream of income from companies.

This isn’t something new. People have been doing this for decades.

You can receive dividends in your taxable and tax-free accounts. But don’t be tempted to cash out on all your dividends now so you can live your best life.

One of the best things you can do to increase your dividends is take advantage of the DRIP program.

DRIP stands for Dividend Reinvestment Program. This program allows you to reinvest your cash dividends and receive additional shares of company stock. It’s a great way to increase your returns!

The Birth of the Dividend InvestHER

Since people ask me about this all the time, I decided to create The Dividend InvestHER to help others get access to dividends that will provide another stream of income.

It’s the premium subscription for women who want to earn an extra stream of income as an investor.

Your DIVIDEND QUEENS: The Dividend InvestHer subscription includes:

  • Monthly Dividend InvestHER
  • Earnings Release Call Updates
  • Discounted Courses!
  • Priority Email Access for Dividend InvestHER Inquiries

But if you have no idea how investing works, you need to start with my best-selling book “Dividends Are a Queen’s Best Friend“. It’s girl talk in its finest flavors!

You’ll learn how investing in the stock market can be as easy as shopping at the mall! You’ll also laugh, cry, and be inspired to get over your biggest fears.

Which Countries Did I Travel To?

The Summer of 2019 is one that I will never forget.

I traveled to Toronto, Canada and had an amazing experience staying at Hotel X. I also had a chance to experience CN Towers and enjoy the Great American Food Tour.

After Toronto, I went to Montego Bay, Jamaica for the wedding of one of my close friends. It was amazing!

I wanted more of that travel goodness.

So in August I booked a one-way flight to London and decided which countries I would visit while I was traveling. That was very interesting.

I ended up traveling to these countries:

  • London, United Kingdom
  • Berlin, Germany
  • Luxembourg, Luxembourg
  • St. Julian’s, Malta
  • Barcelona, Spain

Once you start traveling, it’s hard to stop.

So, I found myself in Costa Rica in November 2019 eating the tastiest vegan food I ever laid eyes on.

How Did I Make My Adventure to 7 Countries Happen?

Well, when you’re traveling around the world it’s important to have a good credit card that helps you avoid foreign transaction fees.

I use the Chase Sapphire Preferred card. It’s definitely one of my favorite travel cards in my portfolio of credit.

When you spend a certain amount of money, you get money back that you can use towards travel.

So, you can use the card for some of your expenses, pay off the bill using dividend income, and earn rewards and cash bonuses from using your credit card. The cash just keeps flowing into your account!

You also get travel and purchase protection benefits! Check out the Chase Sapphire Preferred card here.

I also opened a couple of other cards too. And guess what? I received more cash rewards in my account and my credit score leaped over the 800 mark!

Woohoo!

It felt like a dream. But it was just the reality of using the income streams around me in order to freely live my dreams of traveling around the world.

Do you love traveling around the world? What are some of your favorite travel destinations and what’s on your bucket list?

How I Got Free Food + Tissue During the Coronavirus Crisis https://wealthywomendaily.com/how-i-got-free-food-tissue-during-the-coronavirus-crisis/ https://wealthywomendaily.com/how-i-got-free-food-tissue-during-the-coronavirus-crisis/#respond Sun, 15 Mar 2020 22:45:16 +0000 https://wealthywomendaily.com/?p=80297

Technology can be your best friend (if you use it wisely!).

And with the Coronavirus in full effect, it’s important that you learn how to use technology to make, save, and invest your money. After all, you have no idea what will happen to your main source of income tomorrow so you want to do whatever you can to be prepared.

Since 2015 I’ve been obsessed with apps and the ability to use technology to make my life easier and support me if things hit the fan.

Well, that day happened when the coronavirus began to sweep across the United States and travel bans were executed. Major events were shut down and millions of dollars in expected income was immediately wiped away.

So how do you thrive and make sure you have your basic necessities during the Coronavirus crisis? Technology to the rescue!

Thanks to the use of technology I was able to go to various stores and get my basic necessities for FREE. Yes! And you don’t need a degree or specialized talents to make it happen.

Here’s what I did to get free food and tissue during the coronavirus crisis:

Ibotta

I wasn’t a fan of Ibotta when I first downloaded the app but after receiving $20 in my PayPal account, I can’t stop looking at Ibotta to find out what deals they have. Every time I shop for groceries, I check to see if there are any cashback rewards for items that I plan to purchase. There are also free items included in the app! You buy an item and Ibotta will reimburse you for it. Now, I love that!! I’ve been able to get items such as Stacy’s pita chips and plant-based butter for FREE because of the app.

Sign up for Ibotta here and use my referral code “uusyetp” at registration.

ReceiptPal

This is not my favorite app but it gets the job done. ReceiptPal allows you to earn free gift cards just for scanning your receipts. Use my link to download the app and start earning rewards! Some people haven’t been able to download the app but if you’re able to get it, more rewards for you!

Each receipt is typically worth 25 points and you’ll need 4 receipts to fill up one card on the App. Your points will be added to your total once you fill up a card. It’s a slow way to earn points but I wasn’t complaining when I was able to redeem my $10 reward card and get vegan meatballs, green bell pepper, and mushrooms.

Capital One Savor Rewards

I know I’m a bad girl for touching my credit card during a time such as this but I have a master plan. Wait for it.

Last year, I received the Capital One Cash Rewards card and I absolutely love it. I spent $500 in the first three months and got $150 back! I also don’t have to pay interest on my balances for 15 months! You want to check the website to see what offer is available when you apply. Since I was going to spend $500 anyway to cover food, personal hygiene, and transportation costs for the month, it made sense to add the credit card to my portfolio. Also, applying for the credit card did not negatively impact my credit score so it was a win-win situation.

I made purchases with my credit card to get food and personal hygiene products because people were running in the stores and emptying shelves. Well, I paid the credit card bill off without using any of my traditional earned income. I used my $20 Ibotta cash reward + my capital one savor rewards to pay my credit card bill. Guess what? I earned even more rewards for making the purchases with my credit card!

If you have good credit and you are financially responsible, use my buddy link to sign up for the Capital One Savor Rewards Card.

Webull

When you open a Webull brokerage account and make a deposit, you get free shares of stock. Guess what I did? I opened an account! That was a no-brainer move for me.

Webull is a commission-free trading app that allows you to buy and sell stocks and other assets. I opened an account, made a deposit of $3, and claimed my free shares of stocks. I also told my partner to do the same and I received more free shares of stocks when he signed up! After evaluating the quality of the stocks I received, I decided to sell some shares. Guess what happened? Another deposit into my bank accounts for more free food or whatever else I wanted.

Life is good.

New customers who sign up with a WeBull referral link before March 31st will be able to take advantage of the stock bonus. Get a free share valued between $5-$500 when you open a Webull brokerage account. Wait…there’s more. You’ll get an additional free stock valued between $12-$1400 when you deposit any amount. Use my referral code here.

Read more about Webull here.

Dosh

So, I’m pretty much addicted to the capability that phone apps provide. It’s pretty amazing to get these rewards and have more time to do what I love – write and speak! Oh yeah, Dividends Are a Queen’s Best Friend is available on Amazon and my second investing book is on the way. Stay tuned!

Now back to these AMAZING apps. Sign up for Dosh, add your credit card, and let the savings begin! You get cashback for online purchases that you make through the app. I just signed up for this app and I can’t wait until I reach my bonus level for this.

Rakuten

Do you like to shop until you drop? Sis, I hope you’re getting rewarded for it! With the Rakuten app, you can get Cash Back for shopping at your favorite stores! Woohoo! Just join Rakuten for free. You’ll also get a $10 Welcome Bonus when you use my invite link to join and spend $25.

Remember all of that cash you’ll be getting back from Ibotta, Capital One Savor Rewards, and Webull? Well, you can use your cash rewards on Rakuten and get more cashback! It’s a system that keeps on giving!

Looking for good food in New Orleans? Well I found one great option as soon as I arrived at my hotel.

I was looking for a restaurant with vegan friendly food options and many people recommended Domenica.

A modern-designed space with a beautifully decorated contemporary style, Domenica offered a great setting for lunch options for two.

Guess what? I was able to use my gift cards to purchase my meal.

Woohoo! More money to allocate towards investing and retirement.

I used to go to restaurants and wonder which credit card I was going to use to pay for my food. Now I pull out a selection of gift cards that I earn for doing what I normally do.

It feels so good when you can eat great foods and not sacrifice your ney worth.

Dine-In at Domenica in New Orleans

Domenica
Home made focaccia bread

I could have kept eating the bread. So soft and yummy!

Gulf Shrimp Ricotta

Gulf shrimp taste differently when you’re right by the gulf. Every piece that entered my mouth was so warm and soothing. It was like a Cape Cod kind of taste that was so refreshing. This plate is available in small and large portions.

Calaprese Pizza

Made with spicy salami, mozzarella, capers, and olives, this pizza will fill you up within minutes!

Perfect for two or a great lunch option for one person who wants delicious food on hand to enjoy later.

#MoneyHacks: Free Vegan Food in Costa Rica! https://wealthywomendaily.com/moneyhacks-free-vegan-food-in-costa-rica/ https://wealthywomendaily.com/moneyhacks-free-vegan-food-in-costa-rica/#respond Sat, 07 Dec 2019 03:15:26 +0000 https://wealthywomendaily.com/?p=77091

Your health is your wealth and for me that means loading my body up with vegan-friendly foods.

And when you’re traveling around the world, finding the best vegan foods can be a challenge.

It’s especially disheartening when I enter a restaurant and am offered a salad as my main course.

No, thank you.

So when I discovered Capras in Costa Rica, I felt like I landed in vegan heaven! I had some of the best flavors of vegan food I ever tasted. The best part was that my delicious vegan food was FREE.

What the what? How did I get free food in Costa Rica?

Spoiler Alert: I earn free gift cards just from scanning my receipts with the Fetch Rewards App. Download here and use referral code “WVWBW” to earn 2,000 points after you scan your first receipt.

The Power of Free Gift Cards

It’s amazing to receive gift cards through the mail or on your mobile device.

But it’s even better when you can use those gift cards outside of the country!

I went to the vegan restaurant with only $25 cash, tip money in Costa Rican colones, my credit card, and gift card.

And my first payment option is usually my gift card.

Why use my money when I can use my gift cards?

So, after I gobbled up the last few bites of my yummy vegan masterpiece, I pulled out the almighty gift card to see if it would work.

Cha-Ching! It worked. I received my receipt notifying me that my gift card handled my full meal balance. #Winning

How I Get Free Gift Cards

Fetch Rewards saves me money and allows me to track my receipts!

All I can say is, “why didn’t I know about this sooner?”

Lesson Learned: Talk to your friends and find out what apps they are using to make their lives easier.

Fetch Rewards have turned grocery receipts into gift card-creating machines!

You won’t look at a grocery receipt the same way again. Instead of groceries being a much-needed expense that you have to budget for, it is now an asset that can increase your net worth.

This is your chance to save on thousands of products EVERY time they’re on your receipt.

Enter my referral code, WVWBW at the sign-up screen and you’ll get 2,000 Fetch Points ($2.00 in points!) when you complete one receipt.

My Experience at Capras

You’re probably wondering how good was the free food, right?

Well, it was so delicious that I returned two days later to taste more of this goodness.

Tacos!

Cas (tart drink)

The prices were surprisingly reasonable, too! I paid an average of 3,000 Costa Rican Colones per dish. Of course, I had to order more food to take home with me.

Tacos

The meal below is from Day 2 of my visit to Capras. Although it didn’t compare to the above meals, it was satisfying. The other two meals were the best vegan bites I ever tasted.

Live Your Best Life

Just imagine what you can do with your money and life if you could eliminate expenses and increase your net worth.

Now, you can put more of your money to good use.

Start multiplying your money by allowing it to work for you!

Have you thought about learning how to invest? Do you know that you can learn income from your investments? What if you could have the information you need to get started in the next 30 days?

Grab your copy of Dividends Are a Queen’s Best Friend on Amazon!

3-Night Airbnb Stay in London for Less than $60! https://wealthywomendaily.com/3-night-airbnb-stay-in-london-for-less-than-60/ https://wealthywomendaily.com/3-night-airbnb-stay-in-london-for-less-than-60/#respond Tue, 03 Dec 2019 05:42:15 +0000 https://wealthywomendaily.com/?p=71892

I enjoyed a 3-night Airbnb stay in London for less than $60!

What the what? How did this happen?

Spoiler Alert: I used the first-time Airbnb user referral code.

Sign up for Airbnb with my link and you will get up to $55 off your first trip👇https://abnb.me/e/8lvrQ5VJ61

It all started when I booked a one-way flight to London this Summer.

Why?

Because it sounded like a good idea.

Well, here’s what really happened: I discovered flight tickets for less than $200!

Say what? Yes, I had to put on my glasses to make sure my eyes weren’t deceiving me.

It was REAL. The tickets were less than $200 (including taxes!).

Sounds like a great idea that I needed to take advantage of!

After being hypnotized by that fantasy price, I woke up and realized I didn’t have anywhere to stay.

Wowzers. What’s a woman to do?

I called on my amazing world traveling friend, Tiffany, and she hooked me up!

Don’t Be Sleeping on Airbnb

“Why don’t you use Airbnb?”

Tiffany saved the day! She supplied me with her Airbnb referral code so that I could receive a discount when I booked my first stay.

Well that discount came in handy! My final price for a 3-night stay in London was less than $60.

And I didn’t spend $60 from my savings. I just used my credit card rewards.

Don’t be afraid to use those discounts and rewards! It will allow you to have more money on hand to create lasting memories and dive into the best foods.

Read more about my amazing food experience in London.

Remember, you can have a great travel experience without spending all your money! There are always multiple ways to achieve a goal. You just need to know where to go and who to ask to help you achieve your goal in the most harmonious way.

My First Airbnb Experience

So what do I think about Airbnb?

I used Airbnb for the first time and found my first place in Chislehurst, London.  Of course, there are pros and cons to my first experience but overall it was great. It was more of a learning experience to help me navigate my next Airbnb.

Next time I’ll make sure I have my own bathroom because it makes life easier. I’ll also make sure I choose an Airbnb that’s closer to the majority of my activities so I don’t spend so much time and money commuting.

Yes, if you aren’t located in the center of London, be prepared to spend money on transportation. I went to the train station featured in the image below to get to the Center. It typically takes around 30 minutes. But I also had to take a cab or bus to get to the train station.

My selected house stay included a private room, access to kitchen to cook, living room, and a shared bathroom with the host.

I absolutely loved getting to know the host. Our 10-minute conversation pumped me up.

My host was forced to quit her job and travel the world in order to receive the proceeds from winning a game show! Wow!!

Have you used Airbnb? What are your thoughts? If you haven’t tried Airbnb yet, check out these tips to maximize your experience.

1. Use a Referral Code

Before I sign up for anything, I’m always looking to find someone who has a referral code so I can get a discount and keep more of my money.

After all, your net worth isn’t influenced by how much you make but how much you keep.

Sign up for Airbnb with my link and you will get up to $55 off your first trip👇https://abnb.me/e/8lvrQ5VJ61

2. Book Early

The most desirable places get booked fast. Do your research early and find a place that suits your living preferences.

You also may have a chance to pay half your balance now and half later. How cool is that?

Cancellations may be allowed. Check all the details before booking your reservation.

3. Read the Reviews

You must read the reviews. While pictures of prospective homes can sweep you off your feet, reviews can tell you what it’s really like to stay at a specific place.

Read as many reviews as possible and ask the host questions in advance if you need any clarification.

4. Find out the Cost of Transportation

How much will it cost for you to get to your Airbnb from the airport or wherever you will be coming from?

Plan in advance so you can choose a place that’s not expensive to navigate using public transportation or rideshare.

5. Determine What’s in the Area

What kind of community do you want to stay in? Read the house details to gather that information or ask the host.

I always ask, “how far are you from the market and restaurants?” I’m a vegan so I need access to fresh fruits and vegetables every day. You have to make sure the community makes sense for your lifestyle preferences.

6. Plan Your Next Trip

I am so glad I started using Airbnb. It makes it alot easier to travel more.

If you haven’t used Airbnb yet, make sure you sign up using my referral link to get discounts and coupons towards your first stay!

Save that money so you can have more to allocate towards investments and retirement. Yes, retirement. It’s never too early to start planning for it.

Airbnb Discount

Are you ready to plan a quick weekend getaway?

Sign up for Airbnb with my link and you will get up to $55 off your first trip👇https://abnb.me/e/8lvrQ5VJ61

#MoneyHacks: 30 Days Without Spending Money on Food https://wealthywomendaily.com/moneyhacks-30-days-without-spending-money-on-food/ https://wealthywomendaily.com/moneyhacks-30-days-without-spending-money-on-food/#comments Fri, 22 Nov 2019 03:22:57 +0000 https://wealthywomendaily.com/?p=76442

Is it possible to go 30 days without spending money on food?

YES!

Will you have to starve yourself?

No! You can get whatever food you like.

What’s the secret?

You need a plan and you have to be smart about using the resources around you. One of my favorite resources is my phone!

Before I continue with this post, let me quickly introduce myself.

Hi, I’m Charlene Rhinehart. I’m the Editor-in-Chief of Wealthy Women Daily and the Founder of Career Goddess Academy.

Through CGA, I find ways to help people increase their income and decrease their expenses so they can focus on sharing their gifts and making an impact.

I don’t just research all the ways to make money online. I go behind the scenes and do my own research on different money-making opportunities.

In the last 4 years, I’ve explored over 50 career paths and certifications that have exposed people to various options. It’s been fun!

But now it’s time to show people how to reduce expenses so they can have more money to allocate towards the things that matter most.

Since we can’t skip our basic needs, I set out on a mission to find out how to reduce food costs. After all, I was spending over $100 a week on food. It was hurting my pockets!

With the use of digital technologies, I made it happen. In the last 4 weeks, I spent $0 on food!

I know that may be hard to believe.

Here’s my secret: Instead of using my money to fund my groceries, I take advantage of apps that reward users with gift cards. I get free gift cards almost every other day!

I receive gift cards just for walking into stores or scanning receipts. YES! It’s that easy.

People are making money and saving it using their phones every day. Now, you can do it too! All you need are the right apps on your phone.

Another Secret: I go to the grocery store every day or every other day to get what I need. This helps reduce my grocery bill because I don’t feel the need to get everything at once. I mainly buy fresh fruits and vegetables during my “shopping excursions” and then purchase my meatless food products throughout the week.

Are you ready to start saving money so you can start investing? Here are some of the Apps that I use almost every day. Enjoy!

The Three Apps that I Love: FetchRewards, ReceiptPal, and ibotta. Click the links to get extra points when you sign-up!

App #1: Fetch Rewards

I downloaded the Fetch Rewards app in October 2019 and I’m in love!!

I get points just for scanning my grocery receipts!

Now, this is what you call a simple life.

Fetch Rewards is a free app that turns grocery receipts into rewards.

Download Fetch Rewards free here: https://fetchrewards.onelink.me/vvv3/referralemail

Use my referral code, WVWBW, during signup and you’ll get 2,000 Fetch Points ($2.00 in points!) just for starting.

Are you ready to get started? Just scan any grocery receipt, and earn points towards awesome rewards.

You’ll earn at least 1% on all listed brands and products, and gain access to exclusive offers that earn you even more points.

Do you see how simple it is?

So scan your grocery receipt and start getting rewards today! You can redeem your rewards for over 40 different restaurant options or a MasterCard/Visa Reward card!

#MoneyHack: When I make purchases using my ShopKick rewards, I save my receipt and upload it to the Fetch Rewards app to get more points! I get rewarded for not spending MY money!

Download Fetch Rewards free here: https://fetchrewards.onelink.me/vvv3/referralemail

Use my referral code, WVWBW, during signup and you’ll get 2,000 Fetch Points ($2.00 in points!) just for starting.

App #2: ReceiptPal

The same receipts you scan for Fetch can be scanned in ReceiptPal so that you can get MORE free gift cards!

And it only takes 5 seconds to scan a receipt!

Go to receipts, scan your most recent receipts, and you’ll get 100 points once you complete one card which is equivalent to four receipts. It may take up to 24 hours for the system to approve your receipts.

Use my link to download the app and start earning rewards! You’ll get me bonus points too! https://app.adjust.com/oqlq9t9?label=PPT1ZKEN

When you’re eligible to unlock rewards, you’ll have your choice of Amazon or Retail gift cards. I chose a Starbucks eGift Card so that I can use it during my travels.

Download the app so that you can start redeeming rewards. It did take me a bit longer to receive my first gift card with this app but you’re not doing anything extra to get the gift card so life is still good!

App #3: ibotta

The ibotta app is pretty cool because you can see how much your friends have made using the app.

I have one facebook friend who has made over $2,000 using the app! Wowzers!

This is another app that is really easy to use. I love it because you receive cashback rewards on your purchases!

For example, I purchased one banana for $0.13 using my ShopKick gift card. I uploaded my receipt to ibotta and received $0.25 cashback for my banana purchase.

I received $0.25 cashback for an item that was already free because I was using my shopkick rewards card.

Do you see how easy it is to not spend money on food?

I use it every time I shop. Use my referral code, uusyetp, and you can start saving real cash at all your favorite retailers. Sign up at https://ibotta.com/r/uusyetp.

You’re going to save a lot of money using these apps and that’s awesome. So, what do you do with all your extra money? Invest it so that you can multiply it!

Smart Savings: How I Get Free Food Every Week! https://wealthywomendaily.com/moneyhacks-how-i-get-free-food-every-week/ https://wealthywomendaily.com/moneyhacks-how-i-get-free-food-every-week/#comments Fri, 01 Nov 2019 12:08:27 +0000 https://wealthywomendaily.com/?p=75403 Your net worth is the sum of all the decisions you make and food is a daily decision you can’t escape.

If you want to increase your net worth and receive accountability to support you on your journey, join the Wealthy Women Daily Net Worth Challenge on Facebook.

What decisions are you making on a daily basis? Are your decisions increasing or decreasing your net worth?

Find a Way to Decrease Your Food Expenses

I did a deep dive into the daily decisions I was making and realized my spontaneous food cravings and excessive dependence on fast food options were costing me my net worth!

Think about it. If you’re a busy woman on the move, how much money are you spending on breakfast, lunch, and dinner?

And let’s not forget about the snacks and drinks you grab to keep you going like the energizer bunny.

It all adds up.

Calculate How Much You Spend on Food

Let’s say you spent $30/day on food and drinks. That equals about $6 for breakfast, $13 for lunch, $8 for dinner, and $3 for snacks.

Now when I was working in Corporate America, I definitely spent more than $30/day on food and drinks but I’ll be a bit conservative on my calculation.

If you’re spending $30/day, that’s $150 over a 5 day period. That equals $600 a month on food away from home.

If you have a family to feed, the costs go up. You may need food in the house to keep you going strong at night and on the weekends so that’s an additional expense.

You could easily spend $250/ week on groceries if you prepare meals on the weekends or have a family. And let’s not forget about those snacks and drinks. It adds up.

That’s at least $1500/month on food. Oh my! That could possibly cover someone’s rent or mortgage!

What if you were able to chop your food budget in half just by being more intentional about how and when you spend money on food?

That’s exactly what I did! Spending less on food gave me more money on hand to invest. It’s the best!

Check out these Apps and Credit Cards. You will be able to save a ton of money and have more freedom and flexibility to do the things that matter most to you.

#MoneyHack 3: Capital One SavorOne Rewards Card

Credit cards have the potential to increase or decrease net worth. I’m a huge believer of making money from credit card companies instead of them making tons of money from me.

I’m debt-free and have found a way to make credit cards work for me.

Capital One SavorOne Rewards has a feature where you can use your rewards to cover your purchases. Sometimes my reward points become my spending budget so that I don’t have to come out of my pocket.

Don’t judge me. I just learned that the less money I spend, the more time I have to work on me, my passion, and my business.

One habit of people with an 800+ credit score is that they typically pay off their credit card bills in full every month. This allows them to fully enjoy all the rewards points that credit cards offer.

Here is why I love my Capital One SavorOne rewards card:

  • New cardmembers earn a one-time $150 cash bonus once you spend $500 on purchases within the first 3 months from account opening
  • 0% intro APR for 15 months
  • No Annual Free
  • Earn unlimited 3% cash back on dining and entertainment, 2% at grocery stores and 1% on all other purchases
  • Rewards points can be used to get gift cards, cover your purchases, or get cash.

The Capital One SavorOne rewards card is for customers with excellent credit. I use my card instead of cash to build up points that can be used to pay for food purchases. In order to make the most out of credit cards, you have to make sure you don’t put more on credit than you have in your checking account available to spend.

If you apply for the credit card, use my referral link here to get your bonuses and support the blog at no cost to you.

How I Got 800+ Credit Score While Traveling Abroad! https://wealthywomendaily.com/how-i-got-an-800-credit-score-while-traveling-the-world/ https://wealthywomendaily.com/how-i-got-an-800-credit-score-while-traveling-the-world/#comments Fri, 30 Aug 2019 10:47:16 +0000 https://wealthywomendaily.com/?p=72188 Do you want to get an 800+ credit score? I like to check my credit score monthly.

So, while traveling around the world I decided to review my credit score and noticed that it was over 800! Woohoo!

A couple of years ago, my credit score was in the low 600s! What the what?

So how did I increase my credit score?

Say what? I know this won’t make sense for many people. The popular thought is that you have to work harder in order to increase your credit score. I believe you just have to work smarter.

When you know your numbers and have control over your money, anything is possible. You can choose what type of life you want to live.

Resources to Help You Get 800+ Credit Score

So, how did I increase my credit score?

These are some of the things I did:

1. Invest in dividend-paying stocks.

I decided to invest in more assets instead of debt.

Now I get checks in the mail and dividend deposits in my account from various companies every 1-3 months!

What’s so awesome about receiving dividend income is that I earn money without adding another item to my to-do list. My money is making more money for me. Now, I have more money available to pay off any debts I owe. And paying off debts increases your credit score!

Grab your copy of Dividends Are a Queen’s Best Friend to start your investing journey. If you’ve already read the book, please leave a review on Amazon so we can spread the word to more people. Appreciate you!

If you want a list of Dividend Stocks and investing strategies to explore every month, check out the Dividend InvestHER. Right now, it’s less than $6 a month! WOW! You can choose a cup of coffee/tea or learn how to increase your investment opportunities. You choose.

2. I received checking account rewards to assist with my 800+ credit score goals.

Banks are paying me to open up accounts! So, I’m getting more deposits in my account just for opening a checking account and depositing a certain amount.

For example, when you open a new Chase Total Checking® account with qualifying activities, you can earn a cash bonus! And the process to open an account takes less than 5 minutes!

Read here to see how I did it!

3. I got new credit cards and paid off old debts which can help you reach the coveted 800+.

A list of my favorite credit cards are listed below.

Before you get a new credit card, check your credit score. Now, look at your credit grades. You’ll see five different components of your credit score and how well you’re doing in each category. Use the data you have to make smart decisions. This information will help you determine the fastest way to increase your score.

4. Understand the 5 components of the FICO Credit Score.

Payment History (35%) – Pay your bills on time. No exception. You can set up automatic bill payment and/or have a debit card or checking account specifically for this purpose. This is the largest chunk of your credit score.

Credit Utilization (30%)- What’s your credit limit? How much do you owe? If you’re using a lot of credit and not paying off your balance in full each month, your credit utilization grade may be very low. I aim to not go over 10% of my credit utilization rate. So, I try to pay my credit card bills at least twice a week to get my credit utilization rate good.

Length of Credit History (15%) – How long have you been in the credit game? Believe it or not, you are graded on this! So if you start closing accounts all at once, this could damage your credit.

Credit Mix (10%) – This is a vague category to me. This category is about your ability to handle different categories of debt. FICO believes that borrowers with a mix of different types of credit (installment loans, revolving credit, etc.) are more likely to be responsible borrowers. Very interesting!

New Credit (10%) – Getting new credit cards could be a boost to your score if you know how the game works. But if you open multiple cards at once, that could be a sign of financial trouble and can hurt your score. This category is all about timing and how you’ve managed previous debts. It’s about getting the right credit cards at the right time!

Read my post published on Black Enterprise here to find out more about credit scores.

My Favorite Credit Cards

Chase Sapphire Preferred

This was the best credit card for me to use while I was traveling around the world. If travel plans are in your future, this is a great card to have by your side.

Say bye, bye to foreign transaction fees and enjoy the amazing rewards points that this card provides. When you sign up for this card, you’ll get 60,000 bonus points when you meet the requirements. Check it out here and support the blog by using our referral link.

The annual fee for the Chase Sapphire Card is only $95 and rewards should cover the cost of it over a year. I used this card to travel to 7 countries in 2019 and was able to maintain my #debtfree status while saving tons of money.

Capital One SavorOne Rewards Card

Credit cards can either increase or decrease net worth. I use my credit cards to boost my net worth and enjoy the cash rewards to fund my lifestyle.
