According to the 2018 State of Women-Owned Businesses Report commissioned by American Express, the number of women-owned businesses increased nearly 3000% since 1972. African-American women are driving this growth.

Pam Jones is a great example of this. This Chicago-based entrepreneur exceeds the average revenue numbers for black women business owners because of her networks, perseverance, and brilliant product ideas.
